... the only economic system that works... ¿Does it work well enough? ¿Is it replicable on a global basis, and if not, does it matter?

... a rationalist tradition that alone allows us material and technological progress...¿Is the faculty of reason the highest access to knowledge to which man might aspire? ¿Is technological progress the only kind we shall ever know; is it the light that we now need?

... the sole political structure that ensures the freedom of the individual... ¿How much of this freedom is really only wealth, and then only when one has it?

... a system of ethics and a religion that brings out the best in humankind... Understanding religion as a synonym for that which influences at the foundation level our seeking, in the U.S., ¿are we not really talking about a faith in the fairness of using money and a belief in its guidance unto the future, substantiating our behavior to a far greater degree than any church bound religion, any true spirituality?

...the most lethal practice of arms conceivable. ¿Does the possession of might concur with being right? ¿Does it matter?
